Oh la la Paris!

Our next stop is one of my favorites!  The City of Lights….Paris.  In the past, we’ve stayed in hotels.  This time, a VRBO in the city.  The location was super convenient….we could walk to the Eiffel Tower….and the local market!  It was the prototypical French Cottage complete with amazing garden and climbing roses.  The negative, a bit tight for our group.

London – The Basics

The traditional changing of the guard is done at exactly 11:30 am every day.  It’s very popular (read: crowded) with tourists and you need to get there early in order to see any of what is going on.  It is dramatic and full of English formality.  New in the past few years are the female guards! Exploring St. Pancras Neighborhood

Within two or three blocks is a neighborhood that is being completely rejuvenated.  The architecture is modern and edgy, the restaurants chic and a two-block long splash pad for the kids makes it a perfect hang out!  There is also a community of river boats housing local residents that go up and down the water lock daily.
